This sweet nugget of a baby was born in early May and we couldn't wait to get up to the Bay Area to meet her! I guess she thought that we weren't moving fast enough because she pulled a fast one and developed Billiary Atresia. All kidding aside, this is a very serious illness which required immediate surgery and we wanted to be there to give her parents a big hug and a bit of support. So, we popped in the car and took our first ever road trip. Several movies (and a few tantrums) later, we were there.
We stayed at a Homewood Suites and I couldn't have been more impressed with the customer service. The kids loved the bath toys and books that they were given upon check-in. I loved the free happy-hour. Kevin loved the free breakfast buffets.
Though she be but little, she is fierce - William Shakespeare
Kaden wanted to see the Golden Gate Bridge.
Kevin had to work one day and Miriam's girls were in school, so the boys and I went to a local little zoo and an airplane museum.
These two muchkins are similar in so many ways - so super cute and so very naughty.
The four played together flawlessly
We kidnapped Lila one day and took the kids into the city to visit a museum and for a ride on the cable cars.
A good-bye brunch at the Stanford Golf Course sealed Kaden's desire to attend Stanford one day.
